The Problem I Couldn't Ignore

Like many of you, I have a full-time job and a busy life as a mom to two amazing girls. And like many women, I had a love-hate relationship with my sleepwear. I loved the idea of slipping into something comfortable at the end of a long day, but the reality was often a frustrating ritual of tugging and adjusting. The seams would dig in, the fabric would bunch up, and the pants would ride up in all the wrong places, leaving me distracted and anything but relaxed.

It seemed so simple, yet no one had truly solved this problem. I knew there had to be a better way for women to find true comfort, a way to end the nightly battle with their pajamas. As a firm believer in the power of a good night’s sleep, I realized that if I was going to find the solution, I would have to create it myself.

A Vision for a Better Way

The idea for Nod Sleepwear was born out of that frustration. I wanted to create a sleepwear brand that was designed by a woman, for a woman’s body. I started with a clear vision: to create beautiful, minimalist sleepwear that was so comfortable, you wouldn't even notice you were wearing it.

I knew this meant rethinking traditional designs. It meant getting rid of the standard front and back seams that cause so much discomfort. It meant designing a wide, flat waistband that would stay put without digging in. And it meant choosing a fabric that felt like a dream against your skin—soft, breathable, and perfectly stretchy.

With this vision in mind, I began working with the talented team at In House Designs in Vancouver, Canada. Together, we brought my dream to life, creating a product that was truly different.

The Nod Difference: Design That Actually Works

What sets Nod Sleepwear apart is our thoughtful, innovative design. We completely removed the front and back seams to eliminate chafing and riding up. We used a special gusset to ensure the fabric moves with you, not against you, so you can sleep peacefully all night long. The fabric itself is a luxurious blend of organic cotton, Lyocell, and a touch of elastane—a combination that is not only incredibly soft but also breathable and resistant to pilling.

But my commitment to you goes beyond just comfort. We've partnered with a manufacturer in Portugal, Ecovest, that is just as passionate about sustainability and ethical practices as we are. From solar-powered production to fair labor practices and a focus on reducing waste, every piece of Nod Sleepwear is created with integrity.
